The National Capital Region was the venue for the conduct of the 2014 National Planning Workshop(NPW) of NSO senior officials from the Central and field offices last November 26 to November 28, 2013. Director Lou Homecillo and the six Provincial Statistics Officers of NCR joined over 100 NSO officials from all over the country to assess and evaluate the 2013 accomplishments and discuss the planned activities for 2014.

The NPW started with a welcome message from Director Lourdes V. Homecillo of NCR. Deputy Administrator Paula Monina G. Collado gave the workshop overview. She presented last year’s pledge, objectives, and expectations for 2014. An informative message from Administrator Carmelita N. Ericta followed discussing the milestones in the history of the statistical and civil registration system in the Philippines.
